Hello
We have an NFL player who has lots of signed jerseys that he wants to give out to friends and neighbors.
He wants us to find photos of those players and use the teams logo in the framing with the jersey
. We found them on the Internet, we're not selling them we're just putting them in the frame with the jerseys.

We get similar questions about once a week.

Bottom line, get written consent from the teams and individuals or just don't do it.

Too much risk of being sued.

Your friend is welcome to give away the jerseys that he owns or sell them if he likes.

"We have"? Who are "we," and how is it that you "have" this person?

He wants us to find photos of those players

Again, who are "us"? Do you work for the player's agent?

OK. Do you have a question?

Picture framing business,
The NFL player is a customer.

No.
The customer has signed jerseys from other sports teams.

OK. Do you have a question?
Can I use the logo and photos that we find on the Internet to put in the frame with the jersey?

All it takes is a lawsuit being handed to you and then you pay a lawyer many thousands of dollars to defend you. Even if you win, the lawyer fees will put you in the poorhouse.

Don't take the chance.

Found on the internet does not equate to the public domain. You need to obtain permission from the owner of the photo. They may grant that free of charge if you ask nice.
