Spouse hiding money

My husband is in Iraq as a contractor last week he had his mother open a bank account and had his money put there.I have a power of attorney but do not really know if it would do me any good.Can I somehow legally get or file to get control of his money or part of it,he did not even tell me he was doing it and I have bills due.If I can get some kind of order from a Judge or something until he comes back to the states would be great.

I am not an attorney but I sure would go to the bank WITH your Power of attorney papers and ask the bank to help you with this situation.
