MY wife contacted our wireless phone provider using my name and SS# to gain access, change my passowrd and make unauthorized changes to the account. I made a point of contacting the carrier 1 month prior to remove any and all authorization rights from her, leaving only myself being able to make changes. Is there any leagal action I can take against my soon to be ex-wife for the false impersonation, and against the carrier who allowed this to happen? Also, even though I contacted the carrier 2 days after the deed took place, and requested the taped conversations, also speaking with thier fraud department, and told to write a letter that was mailed the very next day, and received 8 days after the incident took place, I wasn't contacted until 10 days after the event took place. After playing phone tag with the fraud department for another 4 days, I was told that all recordings are deleted after 10 days, so they have nothing to offer me. So, now do I have legal recorse against the wireless provider as well? This is a messy divorce, and I need any help I can get.

Sorry, no one is going to do a thing about this.

You could contact the police, but that'll upset you even more.

Why?

The cops won't do anything, either.

It appears you have no damages anyway.
This is something for you and the wife to work out between yourselves, or in the divorce.
You picked her- you pay the price!
