statute of limitations for a felony in MASS.

I have been looking and looking for information on this and have come up with nothing....I have a friend who is in a NYS prison and has a warrant in MASS. for writing a bad check.... they moved him from minimum security to medium for this...... is there any way that there is a statute of limitations on this??

SOL on this new charge? I don't get your question well but I would try........The SOL would depend on many factors since he is serving time. They might wait for him to finish his time before sending him to face the other charge.............So SOL when in custody is hard to define. He should find out from his lawyer what is next.
