statute of limitations for prosecution

I was wanting to know about the statute of limitations for prosecution of a Class A misdemenor. I live in Texas and have read a variety of statements putting the limitations on varying time lengths. I have appeared in court many times but the case has not yet been taken by the prosecuting attorney. It has been a year and three months since the initial arrest and a full year since the case came up in court. I am curious to see if anyone knows the limitations regarding prosecution. buenas...
