The statute of limitations on my credit card has run out. I live in California. And this debt has been charged off since 2000. I received a Notice to Consumer or Employee and Objection, Deposition Subpoena for production of business records, and Subpoena Duces Tecum in the mail. They have sent these out to several of the credit card companies that I currently own now. Is this against the law since the statute has run out? What do I do?

The SOL is an affirmative defense.

That means if you don't assert it, it won't help you.
