Is there a Statute of Limitations in California for Larceny / Bad Checks? The case was filed in 1997, and there is still a $135,000.00 warrant pending. The case is pending in East Los Angeles Court.

Why hasn't this case been prosecuted?

If there is a warrant, then the matter will remain pending until you (or the suspect) is taken into custody or attends court on the matter.

Once the court proceedings have begun, the statute of limitations no longer applies.
