a employee of mine on December 2 2012 performed a unacceptable repairon a 2002 Nissan Altima and refused to correctly repair said vehicle, resulting in his terminmation . my eye sight was too poor to do repairs here and had no other employee capable so I contracted repairs to another shop that ultimately bent the engines valves but of course they denied any responsibility, I paid this shop for their mistakes, then transported said vehicle to yet another shop where they damaged the engines valves again of course again they too denied responsibility ..... all together 2 valve jobs, 2 timing covers , 8 spark plugs, 10 quarts of oil 1 new valve cover, and 5000.00 in lost repairs, now after 2 years are being sued for 3000.00 additional .... is there a statute of limitation under theses circumstances. the owner of vehicle came and took possession of his vehicle as I released his vehicle I did not charge him any money for our attempt at repairs... so obviously I am 100 percent at loss

This is what you wanted to know:

Statute Written. Oral Injury. property damage
Alabama Ala. Code § 6-2-2 et seq. . 6 6 2 6

That said, I don't see the SOL as of any relevance here.
What seems at issue is the alleged greater damage to the car.
It's based in contract, assuming you had one as required under state law.
Even then, you potentially have a case against the two garages who further degraded the piece of decade old junk.
If he sues you, you enjoin the other repair facilities.
Or, you wait and sue them after your lawsuit is over.
You might be better off settling, then suing Frick & Frack.
Before that happens get a REAL legal opinion from an Alabama licensed attorney or two.
Then proceed after deliberation.

Have you not heard of mechanics lien, and release or waiver of liability?

It would see, you might have been better off by offering the car's owner $5,000 to "walk away"!

The car is probably not worth $4,000.
It's 12 years old and when new was little more than a compact bucket of potential rusty metal.

Generally, mechanical work is warrantied for a specific length of time by contract. Failure once out of warranty is their problem. What does your paperwork say the warranted work period is? Did they pickup the car and drive it away considering it repaired? That is when the clock started ticking.
