does anyone know if there is a statute od limitations for reporting a child molestation..it happened a few years ago while i was married, and now that we have gone our separate ways i have always wondered what could have happened..he kissed my daughter in places he shouldnt have..i guess it's just thta i am embarrassed for not doing it then but i allowed her family to talk me out of it so my daughter wouldnt be hurt....thank you..p.s. she is now 15

Yes, most states have a statute of limitations. In your case, it won't impact you. Your child is still a minor.

You can start by speaking with the police agency in the location where the molestation took place. They will tell you how to proceed.

I hope you get justice for your child. You might also look into getting the child some counseling.
 
How do you know that he kissed your daughter in places he should not have?

As suggested, contact the agency with jurisdiction where this happened and they can advise on how to proceed. Also understand that without proof or corroboration, this case may be difficult to make. If your daughter is having problems, she should seek counseling. Do not rely on the police and a prosecutor to resolve any issues she might have with what happened.

Also understand that the police and the courts may be skeptical. if there is still animosity with the ex or a current struggle over money and/or visitation, then expect there to be some question as to the validity or motives present. Some allegation of physical or sexual abuse is almost as common as the sun will rising during an ugly divorce and custody battle so the police will look at potential motivations for suddenly reporting this when you may have known about it for years.
