What is the limit of time to file on a returned check in the state of Texas?

It doesn't work that way. The statute of limitations begins to run from the time, e.g. a breach of contract occurs. It's possible that the person could have replaced the check and had a reasonable period of time to cure the bounced check. The statute of limitations in Texas for breach of contract is four years.
