Would someone tell me what channels to use in the situation below?

I have a cousin who was accused of statutory rape. He was seventeen at the time (his senior year in high school) and the girl was 15 at the time. The act was consensual between the girl and himself. He plead guilty because his lawyer at the time told him to and he is a very young male who came from a family without the proper resources in this situation. He understood it as, if he plead guilty it would be better for him. The female went around bragging about it in school and to mutual friends of ours and she begged my cousin to be with her after she discovered she was pregnant. Her mom filed the charges out of anger of her daughter being pregnant. This was three years ago and now it is having a huge affect on him finding a job or going to college because of the situation. He takes care of his son (that resulted from that situation) not only financially but physically and emotionally. Is it too late for him to do something about it? If not, what are a few options?

Since you pled guilty, you have no right to appeal.

He would seem to have no recourse at this late date. He can always talk with an attorney and see if it is possible to have the charge reduced or expunged in his state. That MIGHT help on the job hunt. But, this depends on the type of employment and the laws in his state.

We really ought to know when all this happened.
