I was with my cousin about Saturday (Jan. 2nd) at Urban Outfitters. I took these 2 18.00 bracelets, these earrings that were worth 12.00, and some 10 dollar glasses. Well I walked out and the ringer went off, I kept walking, but then turned back to walk through again, I emptied my pockets and they took me to the back in their office. They asked my name, I told them it, but I have 2 last names I go by, so I gave em one. I didnt have a drivers license, and I'm not a legal resident of CA yet until a year, however, I did have some ID from the DMV that identifies me, I didnt have it with me tho. Anyway, I gave em my birthday, (I'm 18), my address, phone number and last 4 digits of social security number......cuz I did not know the rest. Anyway, they asked if I was lying, I told them I was being honest. So they viewed the earrings and saw the case was damaged they said they could charge me with that since its damaged and one of the workers went on a caculator and multiplied 12 times 5, making it 60. So then they told me I was banned for about 3 years from there and that I would be arrested if I came back before 3 years. they made me sign a sheet that said I was trespassing or something, after I signed it, it appeared as if one of the workers ripped it up. So then I was escorted out of the office and they said I'd be receiving a letter in the mail about court or something of that nature. The police were not called, what can I expect from all of this??
