You appear when and where directed, be on time, be neatly attired, be polite.

When called, approach and speak ONLY when told to speak. Don't go telling why this, why that, just answer yes your honor, or no your honor.

Plead NOT guilty when the judge asks how you plead,
Then say you've hired a lawyer, or ask the court to appoint one to represent you.
