hi..this is my last question for the night concerning the will that I received in yesterdays mail. I'm sorry to make three post but I didn't want to put all of this in one post and overwhelm anyone who might be thinking of helping me.
Dad just died, will was read. me and my sister get half of the house because our mothers name was still on the deed. My father gave his new wife his share which was half. The will states that if she dies still living in the house, it goes to me and my sister but if she sells, then she may keep half of the profits and the other half going to me and my sister. now shes trying to buy us out, I guess she plans to sell or else, why would she put any money out when she doesn't have to? she can live there for nothing. make sense?
I am thinking of selling her my share....but theres a couple of small things she said she would do for me and she hasn't done them. can I tell lawyer that I am highly interested in selling but will only consider if certain stipulations are met? I'm not talking about building rome in a day or anything...its just a DVD slide show from funeral that she ordered FOR ME and promised me but I haven't gotten. everyone else got there. a jewelry box that was MY MOTHERS and has absolutely nothing to do with my daddy but its in the house and she says shes boss over what leaves the house. My daddy had already said I could have it. so I want to make sure that I get these small items and if I can use this to help me get them? sure I will be getting money for the share, but she will benefit from me selling to her and I would be doing what she wants. so can I put that I would seriously consider selling if these small stipulations could be met? (through her lawyer--the one that made me the offer to sell out to her)
