Can I be charged if my ex left stolen property on my property? I would like to report him to the authorities but I had no part of the theft and don't want to be charged.

You won't be charged if you get out in front of this now.
Call the police and ask for an officer to meet with you to retrieve some stolen property.

When the officer arrives lead him or her to the property and explain it belongs to WHAT'S HIS NAME, and that you want it gone because you had no hand in the theft.

Be prepared to tell everything you know about the property and how WHAT'S HIS NAME acquired it.

Some people destroy the property.
Others try to claim ignorance of how it came to be on their property.

I'd opt for telling the truth.

Questions that begin with the word "can" almost invariably have to be answered with "yes."

So, yes, you "can" be charged. What happens after that is anybody's guess.

I would like to report him to the authorities but I had no part of the theft and don't want to be charged.

For that I agree 100% with Army Judge as to how you handle this right now.

When did you know or become aware this was stolen property?

Important question here. Odds are that you knew the property was stolen before the ex became an ex. It is very possible that you would have some criminal liability for knowingly allowing the stolen items to be stored on your property, however the evidence to ever prove that would likely be very lacking.

If you do as suggested above and just report it to police and let them take possession of it you would probably be in the clear. Nobody will ever be able to prove when you became aware the items were stolen unless you tell them, which you should not do.
