I was at a party celebrating the last day of high school. The party was in an apartment complex in my friend's new apartment located on the second floor. The party was huge and overflowed into the balcony and downstairs outside. The party was packed with people and received a noise complaint. East Lansing being notorious for MIPS, when people saw the police driving up a majority of kids ran away. A few of us (about 15) stayed and locked the apartment up and turned off all the lights hoping the police would leave. Knocking on the door the police were yelling all sorts of expletives and vulgar language, "Open up this door you little drunk f*cks!" "We know you are in there you drunk f*ckers." The police broke into the apartment by climbing up the balcony into the 2nd floor apartment. They did not have a warrant but said there was probably cause because of some empty beer cans below the balcony.
The police continued to use vulgar language and joke about the situation and told us all to sit down on the living room couches. Being the farthest away from the two cops giving the MIPS, I saw my friends being mistreated, a few put into handcuffs, and one thrown against the wall in a violent manner. I was scared so my instinct told me to run which I did. I jumped out the balcony and ran all the way home. Thinking I was home safe I fell asleep. My dad than storms in and tells me the police are on their way. I guess someone gave up my name when the police saw me running. So the Police officer that came to my house asked me if I had been drinking and I told him no. Than he said alright I will go get my Breathalyzer from my car and I said alright I had maybe 4 beers but at 9 p.m. Well at this point it was 2 a.m. 5 hours later so I was confident I would blow 0's. But it turns out he did not even have his breathalyzer. The officer left without issuing me any tickets or anything and simply said something would come in the mail.
Now a month later on a Friday the police came to my house looking to arrest me before anything even came in the mail (luckily I was out of town). They talked to my parents but they didn't even have a warrant! On Monday or Tuesday (I don't know I was still out of town) a letter from the city dated Monday came saying there is a statewide warrant for my arrest. Two charges are noted Count 1. Disorderly-Hinder and/or Obstruct a Police Officer; Count 2: Minor in Possession On 05-25-2007.

I have multiple questions.
1. Did the Police have any right to break into my friend's apartment by climbing up the balcony?
2. Is there any police brutality acts or laws that the officers broke when cussing and joking around at the situation.
3. Can I get a MIP on 05-25-2007 when I confessed I had been drinking but 5 hours earlier on 05-24- 2007 and if I had been breathalyzed would of most likely blown .000?
4. Did the police who came to my house on Friday need a warrant in order to arrest me?
5. I think if I fight this and get a good attorney I can get both charges dropped because of improper police tactics and the fact that I was never even breathalyzed. Any opinions?
