Today i've been caught shoplifting in a clothes shop in UK. It was an amount of £38..I felt guilty after the guards took me in their office and shamefull i gave them my bag and purse to check if i got anything else in them. They took my name,address,D.O.B. I'm from an EU country,therefor i don't need visa to enter UK. They called the police and they asked me why did i steal? I answered honestly and nicely why, and if i have other criminal record, which i didn't have. They handcuffed me and took me through all the store with the handcuffs on like a killer..When I was on my way to the car they asked me if i'm a student,and i answered yes and told them the course which is Ethical Hacking. They told me that they are going to give the a notice to the university that i have a criminal record now..and that this might get to my expulsion from the course. They banned me for entering in this shop.
I felt offended by being handcuffed, but I also understand that they might have did that to teach me a lesson and not shoplift again..which is barely okay with me..but my question is: Will i be kicked from my university because of my new criminal record?
My course is Ethical hacking and network security..will this affect my career?
