Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Stupid...

Caught stealing $185 worth of merchandise from (retail store). Was told it would be handled wthin the company. Santa Clara PD ended up coming. Cited for PC 4841488 not arrested. On citation it says booking required. first time offense. How likely is it that I will go to jail?

First , it is PC 484/488. There is no 1 in there.
You actually were arrested, technically, and were released with the citation.
You will need to show up for a photo and fingerprinting. You need to know that this does generate an arrest record.
If you ultimately pay what the store asks as a penalty then there should be no further action. If you do end up in court you will most likely face fines, community service, and maybe have to attend a class.

I have a record from over 8 years ago. charges unrelated to the exsisting? does this change my possibility of jail time?
