I am new self employed mfg rep. I have recently signed a contract with the following statement in refards to commissions
"In full payment for all services to be rendered by you, the Company shall pay you a commission of 8% on all regular gross margin sales of all orders shipped into your exclusive territory"
I have been working with the VP of Sales on some upcoming large deals and he is making statements like....I will give you a percentage on that. Did I make myself vulnerable here with the "8% on all regular gross margin sales" clause. I guess they can say the orders I am getting are not regular gross margin given that each order has to be quoted. And if so how can I resolve this? The sales I am bringing in are going to be substantial....i.e. in the millions so we are talking about a good chunk of change.
