Suing homeowners association

May I sue my homeowners association for failing to block public access to my property after repeatedly asking them to do so? They promised to do so but have not done so yet.

Sure, anyone can sue anyone else.
Can you prevail?
Those HOA agreements are iron clad.
But, this is America, we're all free to sue each other!
