After giving my landlord 4 months, sending him & then the Owners letters asking they send me my deposit, I finally suied. A month later he counter-sues stating I own him back rent money (I Don't) and that the carpet had to be replaced.
1. I have a hand written letter dated 2 days after we moved out and written during a final walk through with this landlord stating that the unit was clean and all rents have been paid.
2. I have another letter from him dated 45 days after we moved and in response to a letter from me stating that "You left the unit very clean"
3. I had the carpet professionally clean and the technician told me before he cleaned the carpet that it would pass the wear and tear test without being cleaned.
This landlord is trying to, in my opinion, extort $3000 from me. My main question is - Can I have him arrested?

No, you can't have him arrested.
But you can send him a better message with your lawsuit!
This is at worst a civil dispute.

Just pursue your lawsuit.
You have great proof to offer the court.
He's just scrambling to avoid the inevitable.

Use everything you have to defeat his lies in court.
Your day will soon come.
Until then, be patient, steadfast, and resolute.
From what you say, when this matter gets heard, it'll be a "slamdunk" in YOUR favor!
