I have a 16 year old daughter that has lived with me and my wife since she was 3 years old despite the fact that her mother has full custody. The child has been getting into alot of trouble (drinking, skipping school, defiant) and has become untrustworthy to stay at home alone without fear that she will get herself into alot of dangerous activity. Since my wife and I both work full time and she is obviously too old for a babysitter we would like to send her to her mothers for the summer since her mother does not work. The child has told her mother that she does not want to come because she will be "bored" therefore the mother will not return our phone calls. Is is against the law to drive the child to her mother's home even if she will not answer our calls and if the child does not want to go?
