Medical Malpractice surgeon cutting new born

My daughter was born July,21st of 2009 by c-section. When the surgeon was cutting he cut into my babies eye lid, and below the eye, almost cutting her eye itself. She is now one year old and still has a scar. Is this something that I should be looking into, or if i went to court would it be a big waste of my time?

Waste of time.
There are risks in every surgical procedure.
You would have to show that the doctor was negligent in some way. This does not sound like negligence, but rather more like an ordinary surgical risk.
