My boyfriend recently confronted an ex about stalking him and now she is claiming she is pregnant with his child. She has taken tests but has shown no documentation. She is now threatening him with keeping the child unless he goes back to her. He is wondering what his options are for surrendering his rights and what that would mean in the state of Colorado. Also as a side note, are there any sort of harassment claims he could use to maybe get a restraining order or something?

He has no rights to surrender.

IF paternity is established (and that won't happen until the child is born), and IF Mom has a husband willing to adopt the child...then your boyfriend can voluntarily terminate his rights as part of a stepparent adoption.

Other than that? If he's found to be Dad, he can file for visitation. Mom can file for child support.

He can choose not to file for visitation and basically ignore the child's existence, but he'll still be on the hook for child support.
