A teacher found my notes during a test and accused me of cheating. We had a meeting with the associate dean who informed me that for the make up quiz I would have to take a zero and to continue to go to class. I continued to go to class passed the class with a letter grade of a B and participated in the graduation ceremony. I though the issue had been resolved until 28 days after the incident I received an email from the associate dean stating that she recommended to the dean that I receive an F for the course and come back during the spring semester and repeat the course. Is there something that could be done about this?

You can write an appeal letter to the dean explaining what happened and how the situation was compromised between you, the teacher and the associate dean; however, the honor code of your university probably states what are the consequences of academic dishonesty. Read that and if it says that it is up to the discretion of the dean to decide what will be the best remedy to a situation like yours, then you are to do what they ask you to do. Better retake the class than having your diploma revoked. Good Luck!

According to the due process, the final decision is at the discretion of President of the university, and also the dean had five days from the date of the incident to give a response. I haven't met with the dean yet so at this point I am unsure of what her decision is, what I stated above was the recommendations of the associate dean. On the day of the incident she told me that my consequence was to take a zero on the quiz, and now 28 days later, after I have graduated she is stating that she recommends that I receive an F for the course although I obtained a B in the course and the instructor posted this final grade to my transcript. Does any of this matter or am I misinterpreting things?

You are misinterpreting things. A degree can be revoked at the discretion of the institution. Think about it this way - your choices are:
1) Not having a degree because it was revoked due to academic dishonesty
2) Having to start over again at a different institution since you will never be able to do it again at the institution you graduated from
3) Take the class and pass it, since you already did that once

Hope this helps!
