This is a question for my father. He lives in California and his license was suspended for a crime commited in Texas. His license was to be suspended untill May 2008, but he received a letter in the mail saying that they never suspended the license and the suspension will now go into effect in August for 6 more months.
He hasn't driven for the 6 months that he wasn't supposed to and he was totally shocked when he received the letter in the mail stating that his license was never suspended. The letter stated that the suspension was never started because his license wasn't valid. However his license is valid and was valid when they sentenced him to the 6 months suspension.
Can they suspend his license for another six months for something that was done in their error
Thank you
