I purchased stock in a swim club over 10 years ago. At the time, there was a waiting list to purchase, and now there is a waiting list to sell. Annual dues are about $400. The club began letting people join without purchasing stock a few years ago, so obviuosly I will never be able to sell my stock now. Am I still obligated to pay yearly dues as the club says? I have offered to donate or give away my stock, but no luck. Any advice is appreciated.

Yes, if you want to continue to be a member. If you don't, I'm sure you won't be allowed to use the facilities.

The stock is worthless. You might keep it as a souvenir of what was at one time promising.
