I am curious to know what my options are for legally gaining possession of a vehicle that I pay for, month to month, but is under another persons name-it's not my loan/vehicle. More specifically, my ex-fiancé absolutely needs me to take and make the auto payments for a 2007 Mazda 3. I fully agree with her, I want the car, and I am absolutely willing to make the payments.:angel The problem is that the loan is in her name through Bank of America. My poor credit decisions in college prevent me from getting a loan to buy it from her directly even though I can afford payments. Is there something we can write up legally to guarantee her that I make payments and then she guarantees me full possession of the vehicle during and/or after pay off? Something that would stand up in court? Side note: even if I were to get an approved loan for what the vehicle is worth it wouldn't be enough. It's complicated because more is owed on the vehicle than what it's worth. What are my options? Thank you.

I need to amend some information. I am the co-signer. Could we write up a personal contract for ownership, sign it, and then have it notarized or something? Any ideas or clarification you want is welcomed. Thanks again
