I was dropping my son off at school this morning, in the passanger side of the car when I was about to get out and walk my son to the gate. A female cop came up to my boyfriends car and started pounding on the window almost breaking it! She stated that he had to move his car and park somewhere else. So I got out and walked my son up while my boyfriend was going to move up to park his car, which she did not like. She asked my boyfriend for his info and than asked for mine, which I did not have anything on me since I was not driving. She almost got our car hit by another car driving, and than stated that she would not be issuing my boyfriend a ticket, but would be mailing me one. Is this legal for her to do? Will I win if I fight this in court?

First, unless she had a heavy object in her hand she is unlikely to break the window unless she is a professional weight lifter. You have not suggested what she was going to charge you with so we have no way to even open a discussion as to your behavior etc... that might result in a citation.

It sounds as if you were in a no drop off zone of the school. Had your vehicle been struck it would have been partially your fault for stopping where you were not supposed to. I bet it was clearly posted. Nothing you said indicates any inappropriate action of the officer. What were you cited for?

It sounds like he was parked where he shouldn't have been & you kept him from moving the car right away because you were getting out. It seems your ticket is coming in the mail. Did she say what you were being charged with?
