I have rented a room in Oklahoma on month to month lease. My month gets over on 24th October. The lease asks for 7 days notice before terminating the lease. I have given my landlord notice of termination of lease yesterday, october 21st so that I can vacate the apartment on October 27th. I have already paid him rent until 24th and then like the usual practice I'm would pay the prorated rent until 27th. Landlord is saying that next months' rent is my responsibility and is denying to return my deposit. Is he right legally? I need my deposit back for next month lease at the new place. What can I do about it?PLEASE ADVICE!
