Well, I was at a party and did unfortunately inbibe some liquor. Cops came and word spread like wildfire through the party and I, being in the back yard, decided to heed the flight impulse. About 10 of us jumped the fence and got away. I however dropped my cell phone in the process. Well that's what did me in, but I did circle around back to the street the house was on and got picked up. (I was actually doing like army crawling... didn't work they found me...) The officer gave me an MIC because he could "smell" the alcohol on me. Well I got a friend to pick me up and then the next day I suppose one of the neighbors found my cell phone and turned it in to the police. Constable comes to my house and returns it to me and asks a few questions. I mentioned how I left the party and he read me my rights, but then apparently talked to the DA and they were not going to persue anything more than an MIC because I had been let go the night before. Well that's the story. I do wonder at how he can factually prove that I was intoxicated without giving me any sobriety tests or breathalyzer. Any ideas? And what're the kind of consequences for this?
