I was recently pulled over and the police ran my info and found that I had a FTA which turned into a warrant-I also has false tags on my license plates at the time so I was taken into custody, and they impounded my car for 30 days. My court date is coming up soon, and I need to know a couple of things.
1) This information they came up when they ran my license was from one county, and I know I have several "issues" in the county next door so can I bring this info with me to court and take care of all issues from both counties, or just take care of the items brought against me in this particular county? apparently these other issues didnt show up when they ran my license.
2)On one of my tickets, I was cited for no proof of insurance or registration but I no longer own the car ( since I neglected these tickets for over 5 years)(I know, stupid)and no, I didnt have insurance and the car probably wasnt registered at the time-so what is my outlook on something like that? I should probably accept legal council at the day of the trial?
These were all violations I received over 5 years ago, and by not taking care of them, when I finally wised up and took a look-I was way over my head with all the fines, etc..
So neglect was the eraser, but here I am older wiser and scared to death, but I want to get it all in line once and for all.
Is there any advice I can get from you to help in this process?
I thank you-Im sure I'll be in touch with more questions before the big day...
thanks again
