Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Theft 3 WA State

I got caught stealing again. It is a LONG story as what happened. No time to explain. This time in WA state. I know they have diversion I believe. I also have a violation in OR for theft and I was NOT convicted at all. Will not show up on record I believe.

Likely chance of jail? The officer was nice and he said you just gotta learn from these mistakes and he said most cases nothing is going to happen. Just fines. I want to do diversion though.

If your prior(s) are found Diversion is out of the question. If you want your best chance at Diversion or reduced sentence I feel you should take some affirmative active before court. Enroll in an Anti Shopliting course before court. This will show Judge your both remorseful and trying to right your wrongs. This is always a good thing although not a guarantee. I recommend the course offered by NASP. I woud also suggest you start calling Lawyers to discuss possible defenses
