I was arrested for theft $50-500 and I plan to plead no contest with the hopes of getting deffered adjudication since it is my first offense. My question is when in court is the store I stole from going to show evidence against me such as video tapes? Or will I just enter my plea and my attorney request the adjudication? I just want to know what to expect. Will it be a quick thing or will this drag out since I am not pleading guilty?

No it is just what I am hoping for. I am just curious now to know what it will be like in court. Will they show edvidence against me if I plead no contest? Or is it likely that it will just be a quick case?

You have the cart in front of the horse. Evidence, testimony etc is for the trial (if any). Heres is what I suggest. Start calling Attorney and see who offers free consultations. Those who do set them up. Get as many as possible. Ask questions. Diversion and deffered sentencing should be one of the topics you discuss. If you can afford an Attorney get one. If not when you walk inot court plead not guilty and ask for Public defender. Do not attempt to deal with DA on your own.
