Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Theft by shoplifting, misdemeanor

Hi, I recently got into a bit of trouble while I was in Georgia visiting my mom. We were at Wal-mart in Marietta and I decided to steal a bit of makeup (big mistake) and got caught. I was given a citation for "Theft by shoplifting". I am now back in Idaho and need my court date moved until I can afford to get back to Georgia. My court date is Nov. 1. I do not have the money to get back, do not have the money to hire a lawyer and no real reason (other than financial problems) to not be back in Georgia. I need a month or two extension on my court date. But I don't know how to go about talking to people in the court, especially since I am not there currently. I am 17.

You cant your parent might be able to but thats unlikely as well. You need to be in court or a warrant for your arrest will be issued. I can it was unwise to name store and city on public forum

Your parent in Georgia needs to contact the District Attorney and work this out. There is nothing for you to do yourself.
