Hi I was arrested and charged with theft from persons unknown is this a legal law if not how can they do this.I had 100 ltrs od diesel in the back of my car and was stopped by police.was locked up for 15 hours they didn't ask for a receipt,i had lost it anyway.so I have a court date charge as follows Theft from Unknown persons.

Yes, and don't admit to anything or make up some lie about how you acquired the stuff. Just clam up and get yourself legal counsel. Then keep quiet and wait this out.
