Okay, so i was caught using a fake season pass to the local ski hill. after cooperating and admitting my fault and guilt to the ski hill management they lowered my ban from their property from 2 years to just the remainder of the season. However the police still got involved, the cop showed up and gave me a theft ticket, didn't explain anything about it really, just said show up to court on this date, and then left. Now my question is:
1. should I get a lawyer for this? or do you think going in and asking for a public defender would be the right choice?
2. if there is any possible way to keep this off my record... keeping this charge off my record is my main concern and i am willing to do what ever it takes.. however i do not have all the money in the world for a lawyer.
on a side note... they also told me that college kids, such as my self, get caught multiple times a week doing this exact same thing... and that they have seen it go very well and very poorly, in my case (according to the management) it went fairly well, do you think this will have any impact on a judges or courts rulings?
