Over the summer I got two tickets in PA. One was for turning left at a right only, the other was for out of date inspection.
I was unable to pay by the due date and informed them, they gave me an extension. They sent a new trial date so I sent another letter telling them I had no way to get there or pay the fine but would pay it and admitted guilt.
So now they send me a form telling me I have been sentenced to 5 days in jail on top of the fine. I now have the money to pay the fine but they want 5 days in jail on top of it. I have no record whatsoever and don't live in PA. Can they have me arrested in MD? Also what advice can to give to avoid the 5 days in jail.
I have a young Daughter, no job and I have surrendered my DL as they asked. I have not ignored one notice from them. I don't even have a way to get to PA. They said I can file an appeal but I don't know how to go about it or even afford a Lawyer.
Any help is appreciated.
