City of Waco, April 2009 rec 2 tickets for failure to signal, one for open container. Officer called wife to come get me. Took Def driving to dismiss one FTS, was to do Comm Service for other. Health(heart)/family illness issues and life together made me miss deadline. Asked by mail if could change plea or talk to judge. NO. Any ideas on how to proceed would be appreciated. Have been laid off, waiting for surgery which will prevent lifting, stooping, even sitting for long periods. Should I turn myself in and put myself at the mercy of the court? BTW, I should have been arrested for DWI, and am sure the officer knew this. If I could change my plea to not guilty, I'm sure the officer would not want to show.

Contact the sheriff in that area and find out if you have a warrant issued for you arrest. If you do, you will need to turn yourself in for the warrant. Due to your health issues you probably won't go to jail, but will receive a citation with a new court date. At that time you can talk to the judge.
If there is no warrant then you should contact the probation officer or other official responsible for tracking your community service and see what arrangements can be made before a warrant does issue.
