We are in Colorado. The roof on our home was replaced Nov. 21, 2006. A gutter was added by a subcontractor of the roofing co. on Nov. 28. So I calculate that the filing deadline for a lien against us was March 28, 2007. (If ''4 months'' means 4 regular calendar months.)
This week, on April 11, 2007, the gutter subcontractor was here to tighten up the screws that hold the gutter to the house. It took about 10 minutes. I called the gutter company directly to come out and do this.
My understanding after looking at the lien statutes and annotation is that this minor service call is not grounds to extend the filing time past March 28.
Annotation (C), ''Trivial Imperfections and Omissions'' seems most relevant but some of the other more convoluted (for a layman) points also seem to rule out an extension based on this service call back.
