Just because im on probation do the pilice have the right to stop me for walking down the street?

They have a right to stop and talk to you. If you do not wish to engage in the conversation then move along.
If you are ordered to stop or otherwise do not feel free to go, simply ask "Am I free to go?"
If they say no then ask why you are being detained or arrested. Your status as a pobationer alone is not sufficient reason to detain you.
If you do not attempt to leave or ask if you are free to leave, your contact with the police will be viewed as consensual. Don't consent and they will at a minimum need reasonable suspicion that you have been involved in a crime.
Report all contacts to your probation officer.
