To Get A Felony Dismissed

I had a felony conviction in CA where I reside in 1979. I did weekends in jail and satisfied my probation. I cannot get a job where they fingerprint you and senior buildings for low income deny me.

What is the process to get my record dismissed? I am on a limited income and cannot afford the monies that attorneys are requiring. Would appreciate if anyone can advise me.

Whether you can get it expunged or not depends on a number of factors - including the specific charges.

You may also look into sealing the record. You cannot get this dismissed. Expungement or sealing of the file, if CA has this is what you must do.

If no provision's at state, you must file an action in Federal Court, sueing the systems based on Federal Law.

CA provides for dismissals (aka expungements), certificates of rehabilitations, and for pardons. Unless the offense(s) were as a juvenile, there is no sealing remedy readily available.
