I sent money through my roommates paypal account because I didnt have one set up. We did this process before without any problems.

My roommate set up internet and then moved out.

Keeping my money and paying the bill, not willing to transfer the account into my name so they didnt get charged the early termination.

Now the contract is up, service to be canceled tomorrow morning and a remaining balance of money is $300.

They will not send up the whole amount until the router is sent back then they will send the rest. Half now half later.

Supposedly the check for half has already been sent up but I wont know until next week.

I dont know if I should take the time to just go to small claims. Any advice?

I'm not sure what your problem is... wait for the check for half to show up, then send the router, and then wait for the other half. If the other half doesn't show up THEN you might have a complaint.
If they aren't too far away then you could speed things along by just taking the router to them.

Do you know that filing a small claims case isn't free? My goodness, you only allege a $300 debt in dispute. If you never got the $300 would your life be that severely impacted? The suggestion to have patience is a good one, heed it.
