I traded a guy some diamond jewelry for a car. He even signed a bill of sale. I have the car registered to me and insured and now he wants the car back because he tried to pawn the jewelry to get cash for it and the pawn shop will only give him $1,000.00 and he wants more. Does he have any legal rite to ask for the car back? He keeps calling me day and night demanding the car back.

He signed the bill of sale or the TITLE? If he only executed the Bill of sale you still have to get him to execute the title. He is not entitled to the car back. He accepted the jewelry as payment for the car and he can not now change his mind because he isn't happy with what he can sell the jewelry for.

If he continues to harass you tell him you will be calling the police and lodging a complaint. If you didn't get the title signed post again and I'll deal with that separately.
