Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Traveling outside of us was arrested but trail is on jan 20

Hi My sister charged with shop lifting. And the court date was given on Jan 20th. And She is planning to travel out of US and come back by jan 10th . Contacted attorneys they are saying it is fine to travel. But wanted to make sure if that is ok.

As long as she wasn't told by the court she couldn't, I don't see why she can't. I would think the attorneys would know what they are talking about & they said it is fine - just so she is back in time for the court appearance.
