Tree fell on mobile home

I was renting a mobile home in Florida when T.S. Fay put a tree through the back portion blocking the hallway, bathroom and bedroom. It has now been over a month and the landlord still has not removed the tree from the property so I have been unable to get personal property out. The only thing I may be able to salvage at this point due to continued rain and collapsed ceilings is my washer and dryer. I am obviously living somewhere else, but have expressed to my previous landlord my desire to get the appliances out of the trailer so I can use them in my new place. How long should I wait for him to have the tree removed? I believe I have been very patient and fair, but I'm getting tired of waiting because I know the insurance company has already paid the claim. I'm not looking for monetary compensation, I just want to get my washer/dryer out and be done with it. What can I do?

I don't know who TS Fay is. But your best bet might be to send a certified letter stating the problem and that, unless the landlord is going to remedy the problem within X days, you're going to have to do so and deduct the amount to do so from the rent.
