is it legal for a village to make up a about trespassing signs, after they have been up for over 3 years. I put the signs up on our side lawn because our neighbor was caught under our toyhauler 3 times when we were not home. I have them on video on our property. They went to the village and complained about us putting trespassing signs up after three years. My wife was served violation papers, had no section when asked. Then last board meeting the village voted on section and is charging $700 a day since violation was served, and could face up to a year in jail. Could I get some insight on what we should do. Thanks.
