Trust & Power of Attorney
My father-in-law, a resident of Texas, passed away leaving most of his assets to a trust. We have had no problem taking ownership of these assets. There are a couple of accounts remaining that were not placed in the trust. I assumed that we would have to go to probate to transfer ownership of these accounts. Is it possible for the trust beneficiary, through a durable power of attorney, to transfer these assets to the trust? We have the original will, trust document, and power of attorney form. Thanks for any help you can provide.
