My twin sister apparently stole from a supermarket, was arrested but while she didn't want to use her own name (she had other warrants), she gave the police mine and they didn't research to make sure they had the right person. 2 years later, I found a warrant with my name on it, went to court, 5 times to prove it wasn't me. DA nor the judge were any help or concerned, I was guilty until I could prove my innocense. Long story short, I was able to get a hold of the police department and we talked and they realized the did have the wrong person, within days, they arrested my sister. I went back to court to show that I did prove my innocense and the judge wouldn't listen to me but to the DA that had told him my fingerprints didn't match. Now because of this, my life is in ruins. She now has alias with all my names so I still look guilty. Judge did not clear the file. Can I sue the police or what?

Jesus that sucks. You can't sue the police, they really didn't do anything that wrong. Your only action would be against your sis. If you can afford it, go get an attorney's advice. That is a really tough situation.

i understand your frustration, but you need to continue working with the detectives that are working the case against your sister, and you need to communicate with the District Attorney in order to make sure your name gets cleared.
You may have to make a report against your sister for false personation if she hasn't already been booked for it. In the Penal Code, look of section 528-530... it is somewhere right in there I believe.

twin sister gets away with this?

Hard to write all specifics in a thread that I am trying to keep simple.

To prove my innocense, I did go to the original arresting officer and his supervisors. Being that I do not look anything like my drug abusing, fat sister, I showed them they arrested the wrong person and I was tied up in court trying to prove myself. After they seen I was right, they went to her address and arrested her, she admitted everything. I was relieved thinking that this was finally over. I was wrong again. The DA did not show up, the file was not in court, but the judge excused me with the married name which wasn't on the case. Now my twin sister, Brenda has my names as her alias's. When looked up minutes on case on internet, I am the one that looks guilty and because now she has the rights to all my alias's, I am frustrated that I can be arrested for anything she is doing. I have a good life and 9 grandchildren, what happens if an officer pulls me over and I give "MY TRUE NAME" and this comes up? Or if I apply for another good job and the hiring company does a background check and see's this on my record? And why didn't the police officer run a check of ID when she told them my name? This is such a mess and I can't sue her, she has nothing, is nothing and never will be more than nothing!!!!

Gosh, I need help!

Again- get in touch with the District Attorney and work it out.
Unless they are still trying to come and arrest you then there isn't much of a problem. If your complaint is that your sister now has your name as an alias... that will forever be the case. You can contact the District Attorney and make sure she is charged for falsely using your name. They will keep your name as her known alias in case she does it again. The DA can probably answer a lot of your questions about how they are handling it.
