So it happened today and I was very nice with the store prevention officer and she said she was letting me go. She took my information but no picture of me. But she did take a copy of my ID. She told me I was being cooperative and that since it was my first time she understands that people make mistakes and I am even allowed in the store and she told me I will not be followed because of my mistake. When I got home I was really upset and I had also realized that I didn't give them my apartment number for whenever the civil claim comes. So I called them and talked to the prevention officer and asked questions. And they told me that it'll be four to six weeks and that no charges are being pressed and that after I pay the claim it'll be fine. They also said that it will not be on my criminal record anything. Since they said this to me am I really off the hook after I pay my claim? Or can they change their mind? Which I don't think they will considering she told me would still like for me to come to the store and shop there. Opinions??
